NUTRITION TIP OF THE MONTH

This month we've been working on getting our RDA of fiber...that's 25 grams for the ladies and 38 grams for the men. Make sure you check out our facebook tips and some cheat sheets for getting that fiber in your daily diet. Berries, Lentils, SplitPeas, Quinoa, Oatmeal, Flaxseed to name a few.


EXERCISES OF THE MONTH


BOX JUMPS

Get into class early and keep practicing those box jumps guys! Some of yall are hitting new heights and even attempting one-legged box jumps! We are always so excited to see new fitness family members take that first leap and achieve that first jump...practice makes permanent, so use your spare time wisely and warm up with a few jumps before class begins to see how far you can go this month!

SIT-UPS

Next week we test again for situps and see how much we've improved on the basic sit-up test...improving that Core strength and function is crucial to everyday life by stabilizing those Core muscles, posterior chain and stabilizing those muscles supporting your spine...A Strong Core can also help reduce and prevent low back pain and inuries. 

OVERHEAD DUMBBELL PRESSES

Challenging ourselves to go heavier in this dumbell overhead press is no easy feat. Even an extra 5lbs at 1-2 reps can make huge improvements in your overall strength & power. Try going heavier for a few reps, then drop the load down in weight and complete another set to failure at a lighter weight to build up that strength even further. We test again next week and are confident you guys are going to rock this challenge.
